{netflix} april's shower (2003)

Love, laughter and friendship take center stage in this touching comedy. An accomplished chef, Alex (Trish Doolan), is consumed with the preparations for the shower she's throwing for her best friend, April (Denise Miller). Although they're close, the two are experiencing some friction, the cause of which they have yet to uncover. As the minutes pass by, it's clear this is an event that neither of them will forget, and nor will their guests.

My rating: ** I just can't bring myself to care about lesbians in stories like these. I don't know why I continue to get lesbian stories. This is why I haven't rushed into seeing The L Word. If there ain't a dick, I don't give a shit. :)
