{television} alias; season one (2005)

A woman of 1,000 different disguises, international agent Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) has never had a boring day in her life. In the fifth season of this Emmy-winning drama created by J.J. Abrams, Sydney picks up the pieces after a cliff-hanger car wreck with her fiancé, Michael Vaughn (Michael Vartan), who had just been explaining his real identity before they collided with another vehicle.

My rating: ** My least favorite season of the Alias series. Started out great after that cliffhanger, but quickly fell off. Kind of glad this was also the last season of the show as it had run its course. Didn't like the addition of Balthazar Getty as A) he's not a very good actor and B) his character, Thomas Grace, was really empty and hollow. The scenes involving him were almost always fast forward worthy. However, I did like the addition of Rachel Nichols as Rachel Gibson as well as Amy Acker (who was great in Angel as Fred) as bad girl, Kelly Peyton. I love me some kick ass bitches! :) Also, Jennifer Garner's pregnancy really sucked too. Really hurt the show.
