Alan Shore (James Spader) and Denny Crane (William Shatner) lead a phalanx of pricey litigators in a Boston law firm in this series that examines the professional and personal lives of brilliant (and often emotionally stunted) attorneys. For perspective, Brad Chase (Mark Valley) joins the firm to keep an eye on loose-cannon senior partner Crane. Costars Monica Potter, Rhona Mitra and Rene Auberjonois.

My rating: *** Having never watched The Practice, I wasn't sure what to think of Boston Legal. The first episode was HORRIBLE! I almost shut it off as I didn't care about the characters AT ALL or their stories. However, the show got better. I really like the characters now and actually care about them. I love William Shatner as Denny Crane ("Denny Crane"), and James Spader as Alan Shore. And, as always, I'm still in love with Murphy Brown herself, Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt.
