Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek star as tormented heads of household in this haunting period drama, based on the only documented case in U.S. history in which a spirit caused a man's death. Enduring the supernatural acts of a cruel ghost known as "Old Kate," John and Lucy Bell (Sutherland and Spacek) do their best to protect their daughter (played by British actress Rachel Hurd-Wood, who's a dead ringer for an adolescent Spacek).

ireviewnetflix.com review: ** Not a very interesting ghost story. Not horrible, but not very good either. I didn't know about the story before watching the movie and it certainly didn't make me want to learn more. Apparently, the people who knew about the story already didn't enjoy it either.
