{movie} cowboys and angels (2003)

Shy twenty-something Shane (Michael Legge) is striking out on his own. Bored to death with his uninspiring civil servant job, Shane longs to attend art school and become an illustrator, but he's short on cash. Soon, he finds an apartment in Limerick and a flatmate named Vincent (Allen Leech) to share the rent. Vincent, a gay fashion-design student, works wonders in pulling Shane out of his shell via a "mahvelous" makeover. David Gleeson directs.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: ** (Actually 2.5) It started out really good and I had a lot of faith in it, especially since both boys were so cute, but it quickly fell apart and struggled to hang on. Michael Legge (the little boy, Frank McCort, in the phenomenal Angela's Ashes) has grown up to be quite a cutie and a good actor as well. However, I don't care for drugs, so the drug sub-plot wasn't cool. The great acting and the relationship between Vincent and Shane helped, but the drug sub-plot was of no interest to me.
