{movie} the kid & i (2005)

While most teens wish for a car for their 18th birthday, Aaron Roman (Eric Gores) longs to star in a big-budget action movie. Luckily, his wealthy father (Joe Mantegna) has the means to make it happen. But for Aaron, who has cerebral palsy, the logistics are a whole other issue. Henry Winkler, Shannon Elizabeth, Linda Hamilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold co-star in this semi-autobiographical story penned by Arnold.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** This was a cute movie. The fact that it's based on a true story makes it even better and brought a tear to my eye (and an extra star) as the hero (Eric Gores) has his dreams come true. These are the best kinds of movies: simple, yet emotionally complicated.
