{television} masters of horror: mick garris: chocolate (2005)

In this intriguing episode taken from Showtime's original series "Masters of Horror," the taste of chocolate leads to a deadly voyeuristic odyssey. Trying to put his life back together after a divorce, Jamie (Henry Thomas) inexplicably finds himself plagued by random sensory flashes and discovers that he's seeing through the eyes of a beautiful artist (Lucie Laurier) … with a penchant for murder. The supporting cast includes Matt Frewer.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: * Wow, this one wasn't that good either. A little better that "Devil in the Witch House", but overall I'm starting to lose faith in the Masters of Horror series. "Homecoming" was great, but this one and "Dreams in the Witch House" were just crap. Actually, this one might have been good as a thirty minute episode with some of the fat cut out. It kind of reminds me of when the Twilight Zone went from thirty minute episodes to one hour episodes. They just weren't as good because there was too much time, too much fat. Matt Frewer (of Max Headroom fame, even thought I loved him in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "A Matter of Time") as always gives a solid performance. Man, Henry Thomas (the kid from ET) did not age well. He is just not attractive at all and I fear it's only going to get worse the older he gets.
