{movie} national lampoon's van wilder (2002)

Van Wilder (Ryan Reynolds), a student shuffling through his seventh year in college, learns that his father won't pay for another semester. Trouble is, Van loves the cushy college life so much that he'll do anything to stay -- even ensuring he doesn't make the grade(s). But with deep-pocket dad out of the picture, he has to figure out how to pay for it all himself.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: ** While Ryan Reynolds is HOT and a very good comic actor, he picks so crap roles sometimes and this movie is another one. I'm not a big National Lampoon fan and should have run the other way when learning this movie's full title was "National Lampoon's Van Wilder". Sophomoric humor just doesn't work for me. I like my homor to be a little more cerebral.
