{television} e-ring; season one (2005)

With Jerry Bruckheimer serving as executive producer and Benjamin Bratt and Dennis Hopper co-starring as two officers working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, this fast-paced political drama conceived by a former Green Beret made a splash with its first-season debut. The title of the show refers to the five-ring structure of the Pentagon, whose rings are labeled from A to E, with E being the place where the highest-profile work is done.

ifreethought.com rating: * Horrible. Hated it. Boring. I can see why it was cancelled so quickly after it's premier, not even making it through the first season. They aired a couple of episodes and blamed Lost, then moved it to a better time slot and it still sucked in the ratings. Then they announced they weren't going to bring it back for a second season and were going to burn off the remaining episodes during the Summer of '06 before premier season but decided against it. I liked the Pilot, and can see why it was picked up, but after watching a few of the other episodes I can see why it struggled to find an audience. Man, I am just not a Bruckheimer fan.
