{television} masters of horror: don coscarelli: incident on an off a mountain road (2005)

Based on a short story by Joe Lansdale, this volume of Showtime's "Masters of Horror" series follows the harrowing ordeal of a woman who's anything but helpless. After a serial killer called Moonface kidnaps seemingly vulnerable Ellen (Bree Turner), she's taken to a remote woodland cabin and bound to the floor with a grotty cell mate (Angus Scrimm). But little does Moonface know that Ellen intends to survive … by any means necessary.

ireviewnetflix.com ratings: * (Actually 1.5 because of the twist at the end) This was the first episode in the Masters of Horror series and just as bad as the rest. Took way too long to get to the point. Twist at the end was nice, but again, took too long to get there. Confusing at times. Just bad horror crap. Gross at times too (and I don't gross out too easily). Not like, "make me want to barf" gross, ,just stupid gross. These are the masters of the genre? Maybe, but this certainly isn't their best work. And Ethan Embry used to be hot. What the hell happened?
