{movie} cruel intentions 2: manchester prep (2000)

Playboy Sebastian (Robin Dunne) decides to put his sordid past behind him and devote himself to one girl: Danielle (Sarah Thompson). But his stepsister, Kathryn (Amy Adams), wants Sebastian all to herself and will do what ever it takes to win his love. Although he attempts to resist her allure, Sebastian soon realizes there's much more to Kathryn than just a pretty face.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: * This felt more like the pilot for a series than a movie. Wait! It was! I had to stop it 30 minutes in, it was that bad. This was supposed to be a Cruel Intentional spin-off called Manchester Prep that never made the air. And we can all thank God for that! The acting is horrible (even though the actors, especially Amy Adams, Sarah Thompson, Keri Lynn Pratt, and Robin Dunne, are very good, they were just given horrible content to work with), the characters are satirically more vapid than the characters in the oringinal movie. This cheap rip-off is nowhere near as good as the original movie. It lacks most if not all of the magic of the first movie and is just trying too hard.
