{movie} scarecrow gone wild (2004)

In this horror film, a fraternity joke goes terribly wrong and causes a man's death. As a result, the man is reincarnated into a vicious scarecrow hell-bent on revenge against those responsible. The scarecrow swoops down and wreaks havoc on a resort town during Spring Break, looking for those who killed him and terrorizing everyone in its path. Ken Shamrock (an Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor) stars as Coach Ramsey.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: ** (Actually 1.5) I normally love horror/monster movies, even crappy one, but this one was beyond crap. First of all, what a horrible title. Stupid story, horrible actors, just bad all around. Ken Shamrock is an amazing fighter, but who told him he could act? Certainly not Vince McMahon. :) For that matter, who told anyone in this cast that they could act. Talk about an independent film. This is about as independent and low-budget as it can get. I only gave it two stars because as bad as it was, I just couldn't pull myself away. While it wasn't a very good story, I did enjoy watching the horrible actors getting killed off. The Scarecrow monster was also pretty cool. I liked the look of the character. Too bad it had to be in such a crap movie.
