At 46, plucky ex-con Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris) brushes the prison dust off her synthetic slacks to brave the halls of Flatpoint High. With the support of an unambiguously gay art teacher (Paul Dinello) and his closeted colleague (Stephen Colbert), she tries her best to survive adolescence -- and wake her dad from a 32-year coma. This Sundance selection is a prequel to the short-lived Comedy Central series that spawned a cult of devoted fans.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: * Man, this was a HUGE disappointment! Check out the TV show, it's much funnier. Don't get me wrong, it's not the best show on television mind you, but it was somewhat funny and I was expecting more from the movie.
