{television} leave it to beaver; season one (1957)

In many ways, this classic 1950s sitcom is the grandfather of them all, following the misadventures of 7-year-old Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver (Jerry Mathers) and his older brother, Wally (Tony Dow), as they come of age in suburban Mayfield. The show's first season introduces us to the characters we've come to love, including mother June (Barbara Billingsley), father Ward (Hugh Beaumont) and the smarmy Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond).

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** Still a great show which holds up well even after all these years. My favorite episode of the first season is still the one where Beaver sell water to the neighbors, such a weird idea then, but not today when the sale of bottled water has surpassed the sales of soda. However, Eddie Haskell is still the most annoying character in television history. And not annoying endearing like Urkel or some other annoying characers throughout history. I just want to fast forward all the scenes that he's in.
