{movie} gridiron gang (2006)

When a detention camp probation officer (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) presents his idea to mold dangerous teenage inmates into a successful high school-level football team, none of his superiors thinks he can do it. But with a spirited co-worker (rapper Xzibit) by his side, he just may prove them wrong. This sports-infused drama is based on an Emmy-Award documentary chronicling the creation of the real-life Camp Kilpatrick Mustangs.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** As much as I don't want to like The Rock as he's completely sold out his wrestling roots, the thing that made him the star he even is today in the first place, you can't argue with his success. While this movie was a bit cliche and a bit slow at times, and I could have done without so many football scenes, The Rock certainly stands out as it's undeniable star starring in a great movie with a great story.
