{movie} the house of yes (1997)

In this black comedy, twins Jackie-O (Parker Posey) and Marty (Josh Hamilton), whose father disappeared the night JFK was shot, have an unusually intimate relationship for siblings. When Marty comes home one Thanksgiving with a fiancé (Tori Spelling), the mentally unbalanced Jackie-O -- who thinks she's Jackie Kennedy -- suddenly flips into a jealous rage. All her mother can do is hide the kitchen knives and hope for the best.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** A very good film from the word go. A little disturbing, but overall very psychologically satisfying. First of all, Parker Posey is phenomenal as always. Tori Spelling is, as always, just all right. Freddie Prinze Jr., isn't half bad. I still can't believe that Geneviève Bujold was going to be Capt. Janeway on Star Trek Voyager (I'm so glad that went to Kate Mulgrew whom I've always loved), but she was great in this movie. The story is great and the characters are entertaining. While the incest element was a little disturbing, it was interesting and like nothing I had ever seen before.
