{television} gilmore girls; season three

Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory's (Alexis Bledel) mother-daughter relationship is far from cloying or boring; instead, it's a constant give-and-take, forcing each to grow up a little at a time. This season begins with Rory back from the nation's capital and Lorelai glad to have her close once again -- but of course, complications arise, including a meddling Emily (Kelly Bishop), a surprise announcement from Gran (Marion Ross) and more.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** (Actually 3.5) I still love this show, but there was something missing from this season. The characters are still great, the actors are wonderful, the dialogue is still tight and witty, but as far as the story is concerned something is just missing. A pre-O.C., Adam Brody was a nice addition.
