Plenty of laughs are in store for the Conner family this season when Darlene moves away to attend art school in Chicago; soap opera characters show up in Lanford; Dan and Roseanne unearth a vintage bag of marijuana; Roseanne is kissed by a woman (Mariel Hemingway) in a gay bar and Jackie becomes pregnant with Fred's (Michael O'Keefe) baby. A significant cast change occurs this season with the role of Becky being portrayed by Sarah Chalke.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** This season kind of began the decline of the show for me. Not fully, but some of the stories were weak. Best moment of the season (and one of the best of the entire show) was Roseanne, Dan, and Jackie smoking pot in the bathroom. Laurie Metcalf shines as Jackie laying in the bathtub in what was one of the funniest moments of the entire series. And I didn't like Sarah Chalke as the new Becky. However, the end of the first episode that she's in where they are discussing the replacement of Dick York with Dick Sargent in Bewitched is a classic moment.
