{movie} broadway damage (1997)

In this feel-good romantic comedy, three ambitious college graduates search for love in the gay community and success in New York City. Robert (Aaron Williams) is secretly smitten with his best friend, Marc (Michael Shawn Lucas), an aspiring actor. Robert's straight, shopaholic buddy, Cynthia (Mara Hobel), urges him to reveal his feelings for Marc. But as it happens, Marc has a crush of his own. Meanwhile, Cynthia runs into money problems.

This movie features two cute leads, a wonderful story, and the stellar Mara Hobel who played Charlotte Tilden in three or four episodes of Roseanne, a role that I loved and wish had been featured more on the show.
