{movie} uncovered: the way on iraq (2004)

The updated version of this controversial documentary -- which takes you behind the walls of the U.S. government as CIA, Pentagon and Foreign Service experts address the government's reasons for launching the "preemptive" war on Iraq in 2003 -- includes almost 30 minutes of brand new footage. Paired with this title is director David O. Russell's controversial antiwar documentary, Soldier's Pay.

ireviewnetlflix.com rating: ** An interesting look at the reason we went to war with Iraq featuring many interviews with people in the know. There's no doubt that fear of WMD's was used to push this war and that even without sufficient evidence we went forward with a war that has costs more lives than it saved. There's no doubt that Saddam was a bad guy and Iraq is a bad place, but not worth the loss of over 3,000 US military lives and 60,000 Iraq civilian lives. My only complaint with this documentary is that the interview subjects are a bit long winded at times and kind of boring.
