{television} veronica mars; season two (2005)

The second season of this hot UPN drama finds teenage detective Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) picking up the pieces in Neptune, Calif., after learning who really killed her best friend, Lilly, all the while helping her dad (Enrico Colantoni) with his private eye business. Steve Guttenberg and Krysten Ritter join the cast as baseball team owner Woody Goodman and his daughter, Gia, while Kevin Smith makes a cameo as a convenience store clerk.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** While the inter-personal drama got a little dull for me at times, the investigation stories got wicked better this season and the general story arc is wonderful. I really didn't like the Charisma Carpenter storyline, which really disappointed me as I loved her in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, but the character is kind disappointing. I am glad that Tina Majorino, who plays techno geek Mac, was given more air-time this season. I love the actress and the character.
