{movie} stomp the yard (2006)

After the tragic death of his brother, talented Los Angeles street dancer DJ (Columbus Short) enrolls in Atlanta's Truth University to avoid jail time. He struggles to adjust to this new world and soon finds himself falling for the dean's refined daughter (Meagan Good). But his life gets even more complicated as two fraternities, convinced that DJ's dance skills can help win the prestigious national step show contest, fight for his membership.
