{television} 24; season six (2006)

Talk about packing a lot into a day: Kiefer Sutherland returns for a sixth season as counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer in this popular series in which each episode represents one action-packed hour in our hero's hectic season-long day. This season, terror attacks are striking cities across the U.S. and the government asks Bauer to sacrifice himself to save the country. Mary Lynn Rajskub and D.B. Woodside return to the frenetic series.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** (Actually 3.5) I started watching this at 1AM. Big mistake! I couldn't stop watching the show. The first 6 or 7 episodes had this show well on it's way to being the best ever in the history of 24...and then it kinda started losing steam as the show often does in the middle and couldn't manager to regain momentum as the show often does towards the end as it normally does. With that said, the first episode actually had me on the edge of my seat and had my heart pumping and the next several episodes after that were a non-stop thrill ride. The cast was phenomenal this season. It was great to see Alexander Siddig (formerly Dr. Julian Bashir on Star Trek Deep Space Nine) again and Regina King, as always, is wonderful. The rest of the cast, even the ones in minor roles, are superb and have a great chemistry together.
