{television} shark; season one (2006)

James Woods brings movie star charisma to the small screen with his turn as Sebastian Stark, a supremely confident defense attorney who changes sides when a wife beater he's gotten acquitted turns around and kills the woman. Working for the good guys, however, doesn't mean abandoning his bad-guy tactics, as Stark makes abundantly clear to the young prosecutors at the Los Angeles district attorney's office in this CBS drama co-starring Jeri Ryan.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** This is a really good show. James Woods is great as the defense attorney turned prosecutor. The supporting cast is also very good including Danielle Panabaker as Stark's daughter, Jerry Ryan as District Attorney Jessica Devlin, and the very cute Samuel Page as Deputy District Attorney Casey Woodland. The season finale with Billy Campbell is also great (especially the end where Stark explains everything to Campbell's character) and one of the best episodes of the season.
