{television} so notorious; season one (2006)

So what if her dad brought us "Charlie's Angels" and the family home is a modern-day Versailles? Tori Spelling just wants what we all do -- love and respect -- or at least that's the premise of this skewed reality show. Playing an exaggerated version of herself, Spelling tries to make it on her own merits in the town her father owned. Loni Anderson co-stars as Spelling's self-absorbed mother in this charmingly self-deprecating comedy.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** This show was funnier than I thought it would be. A little stupid at times, but funny most of the time. Tori Spelling is underrated as an actress and a surprisingly good little comedienne. Cleo King is great as Nanny as is Zachary Quinto as the gay friend Sasan.
