{movie} daddy's little girls (2007)

In this comic drama from director, writer and actor Tyler Perry (Diary of a Mad Black Woman), a high-powered attorney (Gabrielle Union) falls in love with a less well-off janitor (Idris Elba) who's also the single father of three. Trouble comes in the form of his ex-wife, who reappears on the scene threatening to take away his daughters. Louis Gossett Jr., Tracee Ellis Ross, Tasha Smith, Gary Anthony Sturgis and Terri J. Vaughn co-star.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** Man, I love Tyler Perry. In my opinion, no one person has bought more respect and consistently intelligent perspective to black film than Perry. He equally shows both sides of black experience in America, both those who maintain an affluent lifestyle and those who are struggling to survive from paycheck to paycheck. This was a wonderful film with a great little story. The entire cast is also wonderful.
