{television} extreme engineering; holland's barriers to the sea (2004)

The Netherlands has always struggled with flooding and drainage problems, likely caused by its location: Much of the country's topography measures below sea level. With this Discovery Channel documentary, you'll learn how engineers and city planners, in an effort to stem the waters around Holland, collaborated to design the Delta Works and Measlandkering -- concrete barriers intended to protect the nation from further weather-related assaults.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** Not as good as the previous episodes of Extreme Engineering, but only because I'm not very interested in the topic. I mean, there are much more important projects that global money can be put into.
