{television} extreme engineering; oakland bay bridge (2006)

Poised to transform earthquake-resistant bridge design, a group of engineers tackles a colossal construction project: the new Oakland Bay Bridge, a massive 2-mile span that will withstand an 8.5 magnitude tremor. Around the world, ambitious engineers continue to design modern wonders to revolutionize global industry, and this installment from the popular Discovery Channel series captures one such monumental leap in technology.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: ** I don't really know what's so extreme about it as it's just another bridge, nothing that special and after seeing this documentary, I still don't know what's extreme about it. I was kind of bored, but it was all right. It really was more about the asshole foreman abusing his laborers and talking to them like they're children. This was probably the worst of the Extreme Engineering series.
