When his Uncle Ian (Ewan McGregor) dies in a mysterious "accident," 14-year-old Alex Rider (Alex Pettyfer) learns that Ian was a spy -- and now the M16's Special Ops Division wants Alex to take his place! Going undercover as an everyday teen, he infiltrates the lair of fishy billionaire Darrius Sayle (Mickey Rourke), who wants to donate thousands of deadly computers to schools throughout Britain. Can Alex prevent Sayle from pulling off his plan?

ireviewnetflix.com rating: * Harry Potter meets James Bond in this lame adaptation of the Alex Rider book series. Which should be surprising as I don't like Potter or Bond. It just looked better in the trailer. This was just really disappointing. And there wasn't anyone in England more attractive than Alex Pettyfer? The rest of the cast was alright, but was handicapped by a weak script lacking any originality or suspense. As a matter of fact, it lacks suspense so much that the phrase "mind numbingly dull" comes to mind.
