{movie} perfect stranger (2007)

This thriller directed by James Foley stars Halle Berry as Ro, a woman who risks her life to discover the identity of a stranger lurking on the Internet who may hold the answers to her friend's murder. What Ro discovers is a murky world of online deception peopled by the likes of Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), a mystery figure who may be a friend or a foe. Giovanni Ribisi, Leigh Spofford and Jason Antoon also star.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** (Actually 2.5) Wow, this was somewhat disappointing. Not horrible, but not great. It had it's moments, but only a few and it took forever to get to the best moment which was the end both because it was a decent ending and because it meant the movie was finally over. No wonder if got no media attention. You'd think a movie with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis would have had a little more press, but almost seemingly exclusive promotion on YouTube backfired as I couldn't even remember hearing about this movie and it almost seemed like a direct to DVD release. However, the fact that the script was one of the weakest of the year and the cast, albeit a stacked deck, didn't help and actually seemed handicapped by the already weak script.
