{television} beauty and the geek; season three (2007)

The third-season cast of this hit reality series co-produced by Ashton Kutcher ("That '70s Show") includes a self-described "Trekkie," a former Hooters waitress, a 20-something virgin and a beauty pageant queen. But before the winning pair can collect a $250,000 shared prize, they'll have to navigate their way through a series of humiliating challenges, such as finding a book in the library and acing a quiz about models.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** The geeks were really geeky and the beauties were more beautiful than ever. Cecille was soooo stupid it was annoying and WHAT A BITCH!!! Megan wasn't far behind in the stupid category, but at least she's was such a bitch. This show is so funny. It tries to break the stereotypes, but only acts to reinforce them. Before the makeovers there wasn't one guy I would look at twice, except maybe Matt, but only because he was shy, nervous, quiet, geeky cute. Niels was kind of a cutie as well, but there wasn't any guy who was gorgeous. Drew was kind of cute and we could have talked about Star Trek, but its weird when people dress up to go to Star Trek conventions. I love Star Trek, but not that much. After the makeovers, they looked so much better. Nate was certainly the most improved, but Scooter's makeover made him look the hottest.
