{television} happy days; season two (1974)

The Cunningham clan thins out in the second season of this popular 1970s sitcom that pays homage to the 1950s, as older brother Chuck (Randolph Roberts) leaves home to go to college and a privacy-seeking Richie (Ron Howard) decides he wants to move in with him. As the rest of the season unfolds, Fonzie (Henry Winkler) announces his plans to get hitched, and his younger cousin Spike (Danny Butch) takes Joanie (Erin Moran) out on her first date.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** (Actually 3.5) This season is still plagued by the weak single-camera production and the laugh track used in the first season. While the "Fonzie Gets Married" episode is filmed in front of a studio audience with three cameras, it's not until the third season that the show finally changes production styles, noticeably improving the quality of the show. The show is decent and this season was better than the first season, but it's still not my favorite sitcom, but enjoyable nonetheless.
