Despite success as a brave warrior and ruthless leader, Attila suffered the same weaknesses and fears that bedevil ordinary men. His story, achievements and ultimate defeat come to life in this riveting epic detailing the facts and fiction surrounding one of the world's most complex leaders.

ireviewnetflix.com: ** I had it marked "not interested" on Netflix, but my roommate got the movie from Blockbuster, so I thought I'd check it out. I should have kept it marked "not interested" and watched something else. First of all, it's far too long. It really didn't need to be three hours. The historical inaccuracies and dramatic license are painful, but then again, I wasn't there so maybe this is how it all really went down. :) While Gerard Butler looked great in this pre-"300" role, Alice Krige stands out as she always does. God, I love her. The movie was barely just all right. It's length hurt it more than anything else.
