{movie} deck the halls (2006)

All Steve (Matthew Broderick) wants to do is live a calm, ordered life in his small New England town. But his new neighbor Danny (Danny DeVito) has big dreams and big plans to match -- especially when it comes to Christmas. Danny creates a holiday light display bright enough to be seen from space, sending Steve through the roof. Will the neighbors be at each other's throats all season long, or will they discover the true meaning of the holidays?

ireviewnetflix.com rating: * You know how some comedy movies can be unfunny, but still enjoyable? You know, you don't get as many laughs as you were expecting out of it, but you still walk out saying, "That wasn't too bad." This one just wasn't funny...or even slightly enjoyable. Just a horrible holiday movie which would have been better served being shown as a TV movie on ABC Family instead of in theaters. There was almost no chemistry between Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick and the story was lame and the movie was boring. The movie just felt like it belonged on TV and even then it would have been background noise.
