{movie} good luck chuck (2007)

Every time unlucky-in-love Chuck (Dane Cook) breaks up with a girlfriend, that girl ends up engaged to her next boyfriend. Women are soon knocking on Chuck's door, hoping that after enduring a few dates with him, they'll meet Mr. Right, a gamble that works out better for the ladies than it does for Chuck. But when he meets klutzy penguin trainer Cam (Jessica Alba), Chuck realizes that he has to stop being a way station on the path to love.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** (Actually 2.5) This wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but it was a little weak. While Dane Cook's standup might not be that funny to me anymore (it's such sophomoric high school/college humor), he's actually not that bad in movies. Maybe it's because he's under the restriction of someone else's script and a director. While I could have done without all the breasts in this movie, it was worth it to see some decent shots of a very well developed Dane Cook. He's so cute!!! The movie itself was all right and worth the rental if you want to waste an hour and a half on a silly comedy movie. While it wasn't a laugh a minute movie, it did have some laugh out loud moments.
