{movie} pirates of the caribbean: at world's end (2007)

In this final installment of the swashbuckler trilogy, Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), long believed to be dead, has come back to life and is headed to the edge of the Earth with brave Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and feisty Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). And what of Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp)? Nothing is as it seems. Just when he appears to be down, he proves he can't be counted out. Bill Nighy and Yun-Fat Chow also star.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: * Did it really need to be almost 3 hours long? I mean, come on!!! Anyway, at least this is the last we'll have to see of the Pirates of the Caribbean and thank God for that! I was never a big fan of the series, even though the first movie was tolerable. However, the sequel and this movie were almost unbearable, this being the most unbearable of all three. This series was just too highly over-rated and never managed to deliver. While I dislike the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings series more, this is another in the fantasy genre that I just can't get into, even with it's comic elements. I prefer my fiction to be based a little more in reality.
