{movie} saw iv (2007)

Picking up where its grisly predecessor left off, Saw IV finds Jeff searching for his missing daughter. A videotape from the dead serial killer Jigsaw is Jeff's only lead in this frantic hunt. The film leapfrogs back and forth in time throughout the Saw series and ties up some bloody loose ends lingering from the previous films. Darren Lynn Bousman, who directed the second and third chapters in the hit franchise, returns to helm Part 4.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** I went into this expecting the worst and, at least in that sense, I wasn't disappointed. While not as good as the previous three Saw film, it was still all right. Not as thrilling or as suspenseful, but just as gross. The story in this one wasn't that great and that was probably what ruined it for me the most. I just remember the other three having better stories. I do hope this is the last Saw film as I'm starting to grow tired of the series.
