{movie} confessions of a superhero (2007)

On Hollywood Boulevard, wannabe stars dress up as superheroes and pose for photos with tourists. Matt Ogens's documentary follows four dreamers who are just killing time until they're discovered. Get to know a Superman who takes the role a bit too seriously, an Incredible Hulk who sold his prized video game system for a bus ticket to Tinseltown, a Midwestern beauty queen turned Wonder Woman and a Batman in need of anger management therapy.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: ** How embarrassing for them! These people are just lame and I feel so sorry for them, but for all the wrong reasons. "We work on tips." Here's a tip: you're not an actor and you're going to be doing this for the rest of your life! You're goofs in superhero costumes, and really bad superhero costumes at that! It's just depressing. I feel sorry for them, but at the same time I don't feel sorry enough for them to stop making fun of them. I'm sure they are wonderful people, but just delusional...kind of like the people who audition for American Idol who think they can sing!
