{movie} sugar (2004)

Cliff (Andre Noble) has just turned 18 and his little sister has a gift for him: booze, a joint, a subway token and the command to have sex. Heading out on the town, Cliff finds friendship -- and more -- in the person of a young hustler named Butch (Brendan Fehr). But Butch's dark side, along with a growing drug problem, leaves suburban family boy Cliff fearing for their future in this gay coming-of-age tale.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** (Actually 2.5) The start of this movie was so lame that I almost turned it off, but it got better and by the end I was hooked. The film has some very deep, decent moments. Brendan Fehr and Andre Noble are good in their roles. I was sad to read that Andre Noble passed away shortly after the movie's premier. He showed promise.
