{television} men behaving badly; complete series (1996)

Roommates Kevin (Ron Eldard) and Jamie (Rob Schneider) are devoted to their immaturity. Kevin is irresponsible and messy but near-perfect compared to superslacker and slob Jamie. While Kevin's girlfriend (Justine Bateman) is determined to correct his boyish ways, Jamie resolves to offset her attempts with immoral support. Based on the British series, this sitcom continues through its second season, in which Jamie gets a new roommate (Ken Marino).

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** (Actually 3.5) I really liked this show. Rob Schneider was enjoyable, Rob Eldard was hot, and it was great to see Justine Bateman again. This show came out when I lived in the backwoods of West Virginia and didn't have cable. I only had two channels to choose from, PBS or NBC and I was addicted to every NBC sitcom and drama at the time including this short lived show. The writing in this show was great throughout (until the second season) and the pilot was excellent. Once Ron Eldard and Justin Bateman left the show, it kind of lost the magic even though I really enjoyed Ken Marino and Jenica Bergere. It was still a good show, but not nearly as great as with the original cast. I was a little disappointed that the DVD didn't have any extra, unless I missed something, but I didn't see any extras. An interview with the producers and casts on it's development from a British show to an American show would have been nice.
