{television} eight simple rules for dating my teenage daughter; season one (2002)

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** (Actually 4.5) This show could have been a classic and if the first season was any indication, if John Ritter had lived, it could have gone on forever. Ritter, who was television magic, will never be duplicated and is greatly missed. Whether it was Three's Company, Hearts Afire, or 8 Simple Rules, he made sitcom comedy look easy. It was just natural for him and he was a natural at it. The cast is great, even the kids, who actually contribute genuine comic moments to this show, unlike the kids in so many other sitcoms. Katey Sagal is also great, as always.
