{movie} norbit (2007)

After being bullied into marrying an overbearing woman (played by Eddie Murphy in drag), mild-mannered Norbit (also portrayed by Murphy) meets the girl of his dreams (Thandie Newton) in this screwball romantic comedy. The only question is, can Norbit find a way to ditch his repulsive spouse and be with his true love? Directed by Brian Robbins, the film also stars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Eddie Griffin.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: **** Much better than I thought it would be. Eddie Murphy always manages to deliver comedic surprises on the old ideas. The entire cast was great and the story, while feeling familiar, was entertaining.
