{television} stargate sg-1; season eight (2004)

The outset of this thrilling eighth season finds Brig. Gen. Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) bereft in the land of Hala, awaiting rescue by his crew. But the mission is far from a cakewalk, with the Replicators at the ready to attack. And so begins yet another adventure-filled installment of the popular sci-fi series about time travel, space exploration and everything else in between. Christopher Judge co-stars.

ireviewnetflix.com rating: *** (Actually 3.5) Another great season from the cast and writers of Stargate SG-1. This season came closer to a four star rating than any other I can remember. A couple of weak episodes hurt it though. Favorite episodes this season include the two-part season premier "New Order," "Lockdown," "Zero Hour," "Avatar," "Endgame," "Gemini," "It's Good To Be King," another fascinating clip show "Citizen Joe," "Reckoning," and the two-part season finale, "Moebius."
